General terms and conditions of sale:

Article 1 : Acceptance of terms

The general terms and conditions of sale exclusively apply to any current or future commercial transactions between sarl Ravanel & Co and the order creator ie client/customer. Any transaction not conforming to these conditions will be rejected unless prior written consent has been gained. The general terms and conditions of sale are made available to buyers who wish to make an order through the website www.ravanel-sportshop.com or by email or by telephone.

We reserve the right to modify these general terms and conditions of sale at any time. Modifications will be posted our website www.ravanel-sportshop.com.

Article 2 : Orders

We agree to accept your order within the present terms and conditions of sale.

Please be aware that we will honour your order within the limits of the stocks available on our premises or through our suppliers. If an ordered item is temporarily out of stock we will inform you by email and invite you to modify or cancel your order with us. If an item is discontinued or there is no more available stock we will cancel your order auotmatically and inform you of the situation by email. We reserve the right to cancel an order if certain parameters are not convenient for us.

By making and validating your order with us you are accepting, in their entirety, the general terms and conditions of sale available to you on this site and that you have fully understood all the conditions. Foregoing all other documents or conditions of sale, placing an order with us constitutes acceptance of our current terms and conditions of sale. The correspondence between you the buyer and we the seller and kept by us constitutes proof of transaction.

Article 3 : Prix

The prices published on this site are indicated in Euros, inclusive of French tax (TVA), but not including carriage/order processing. We reserve the right to modify our prices at any time. Delivery charges are calculated on weight of product + packaging weight. Orders for collection from either of our two shops are free. Orders for delivery within France will be sent Collissimo Recommandé with insurance of 31, 153 or 458 euros. Orders for delivery outside France are sent by Colissimo International with an appropriate level of insurance added at your cost. We will deliver to France (Domestic); EU, Switzerland, Norway (Zone A); Eastern Europe outside the EU and Maghreb (Zone B); Africa, Canada, the US, Middle and Far East (Zone C); All other destinations such as Australia and New Zealand (Zone D). All issues with taxes, import duties and other customs issues are at your risk.

Article 4 : Payments

The order cost is due as soon as the order has been placed. Payment will be accepted by bank card (Visa or Mastercard), by cheque or if by prior arrangement by postal order. For all payments using non-French bank cards the cards must be international-use bank credit cards. On-line payment by bank card is by secure methods, using a SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Your credit card information is encrypted while travelling the Internet. Cheque payments are only possible in euros and from a French/Monaco based bank account.

Article 5 : Delivery

Unless otherwise requested and with prior arrangement, delivery will be made to the address indicated by you on ordering from us. All responsabilities of delivery are with you once the order has left our premises. If you choose to pay by bank cheque, the order will not be sent until payment has been received, so orders will be subject to that delay.

Article 6 : Returns and refunds

Some of the products we sell benefit from a supplier warranty. If you wish to send back a product you have bought from us that has and still is under warranty, the postal costs for the return and the re-sending out are at your expense. When placing an order you accept the postal charges in their entirety, including the cost of us returning the product to the manufacturer if necessary. Once a replacement item has been received from a manufacturer, we reserve the right to keep hold of the product until all costs involved have been met by you. If the manufacturer refuses to replace the item under guarantee for whatever reason, you will still be liable for the costs incurred. Only goods returned in their entirety, in perfect state and in the original packaging with the shop receipt will be considered for return or exchange. Refunds are given in the form of a credit note to be spent on items available in the shop or by bank payment for the cost of the original product at the time of purchase minus any costs or commissions from the bank. In no case will the delivery costs be reimbursed. Any admin/order processing costs incurred remain your liability. You will not be able to claim any indemnity or indemnification in the case of the breakdown/breakage of any product sold. In accordance with French law, the customer has seven days to cancel the order and return the goods in a perfect, unused state. The seven days starts from the time of placing the order, order confirmation or order payment.

Returns abuse: Products which have been worn/used by the client and/or show a deterioration and are not returned in a perfect state will not be considered for refund or exchange.

Article 7 : Right to reserve ownership

The goods ordered remain our property until the customer has fulfilled all obligations and paid all monies due. This right to reserve ownership does not affect the fact that the customer is still liable for the risks and costs involved once the goods leave our premises, in accordance with the conditions set out in article 5 above.

Article 8 : Guarantee and responsibility against hidden defects

In the case of a product being unusable for the use for which it was sold or damaged, we will endeavour to repair the product or replace the product. If this is not possible, the customer can ask for a reduction from the sale price or send the goods back to us for a refund. Refunds are given in the form of a credit note to be spent on items available in the shop or by bank payment for the cost of the original product at the time of purchase minus any costs or commissions from the bank. In no case will the delivery costs be reimbursed.

Products we sell conform to the current applicable legislation in France. We cannot be held responsible for any leglislation/ conformity issues from products we deliver to countries outside France.

Similarly, we cannot be held responsible for any external websites which have links to or from this site. These sites are not within our control and we cannot be held responsible in any way for the content or services on these sites nor can we vouch for the privacy practices operated on those sites.

We use reasonable endeavours to ensure the site is professional and aim to meet the needs of the client. Nevertheless, we cannot be held responsible for any misgivings in our contractual obligations in unforeseen cases or force majeure including and not limited to, natural catastrophies, industrial action, fires, floods, failure or breakdown of material, means of transport, communication or because of your intrigues.

Moreover, we cannot be held responsible for delays due to lack of stock availability with the manufacturer or supplier. We also hold no responsibility in the case of an error in the representation of goods on the site, including photos, text, illustrations, colours - these are published entirely on a non-contractual basis.

Article 9 : Protection of personal data

We are committed to protecting your personal data. All personal details collected during the ordering process are treated with the stirctest confidence, in adherence with our policy of data protection. At the time of ordering, we endeavour to only request the information necessary to be able to process your order accurately and professionally. If you do not wish to receive our news and special offers, please go to your online account/orders section with us and you can unsubscribe (if you have several orders/accounts please remember to modify each one).

In accordance with article 27 of the 'Loi informatique et Libertées' of 6 january 1978, you have the right to access and amend any information we hold on you. To exercise this right, please conact us by letter at the address above in article 6.

Whilst adhering to the general terms and conditions of sale, you are considered to have full knowledge of our data protection policy and give your consent for us to collect and utilise the data.

Article 10 : Applicable law and jurisdiction

The present general terms and conditions of sale are subject to French law and Vienna Convention on internationl sale contracts of goods, other than the right of sale of the United Nations. All litigations relating to the trading between us and the client are subject to French jurisdiction.

Article 11 : Use of the site

Sarl Ravanel & Co has published this website for your private use. You do not have the right to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, edit or publish this internet site.
