The Ravanel Sports Shops (Ravanel & Co. in Les Praz and Ravanel General Store in Chamonix town centre) are independently owned and run by husband and wife team Thierry and Fabienne Ravanel (née Bozon).

Thierry and Fabienne established their first sports shop at Place Gilbert Ravanel in Les Praz. Since 1998, the couple has been welcoming visitors to the shop which is perfectly placed adjacent to the Flegere cable car lift car park. Purpose built, the shop boasts an impressive stock of ski hire equipment and products to buy, as well as being home to the Ravanel family and the office.

There is also a fully-equipped workshop (something most other ski hire shops don’t have) with Wintersteiger machines including a stone grinder. This ensures that all our hire equipment is fully serviced (and not just waxed) before going back on the racks for hire. You can also bring your own equipment in to the shop for a top-rate service.

Since December 2003, the Ravanels have owned a run a second sports shop in Chamonix town centre. The Ravanel General Store is in the Galerie Alpina on ave du Mont Blanc, boasting three floors and a warm welcome! In winter there’s ski equipment hire downstairs, with clothing and accessories on the ground floor. The upper level is the home for all the hardware, including a first-rate boot fitting service for alpine ski, ski touring and snowboard boot customers. When the snow finally melts, the downstairs level is kitted out with hiking and mountaineering equipment for hire, the ground floor has streetwear, accessories and a full range of sports technical clothing, whilst upstairs becomes a haven for clients seeking running, trail, hiking or mountaineering footwear.
